As you come into Inverness from the east you first have the option to visit the pubs and restaurants and take away at Smithton & Culloden.
After which , just half a mile away ,you could stop of at Inverness Retail Park (Burger King or Pizza Hut)
The A96 takes you to the Raigmore interchange where you take the 3rd exit onto the A9 heading for Wick.
The A9 takes you directly to the Longman roundabout just before the Kessock Bridge and the Caledonian Stadium is the 3rd turnoff (Currently not signposted.)

Your first sign of arrival in Inverness would be spotting Tescos on the horizon, then the tall street lights of the "golden mile".
Just after you pass a Scottish office sign on your left is the turn off for Smithton,Culloden & Balloch.

Half a mile up this road turn into Smithton on your right. Home to the local ICT Supporters club is the Smithton Hotel on the left.

Or carry on through to the second set of traffic lights and turn left for Blacksmiths Sports Bar and Culloden's Chinese take away.
